Markets & currencies

European Central Bank

Daily euro reference rates on TARGET business days, usually published around 16:00 CET. RON/USD is calculated as USD per EUR divided by RON per EUR, using the same date. The inverse is its reciprocal. Rates are informational, not executable trading quotes. Historical coverage varies by currency; RON history begins with the current currency code. No intraday observations or weekend points are invented.

Automatic retrieval: weekdays at 17:15 Europe/Berlin. Stale after 96 hours without a successful retrieval, or immediately after a failed refresh. Latest observation date is shown independently.

Stocks & ETFs · Twelve Data

The completed adapter imports daily closes for a configured stock and ETF catalog. It requires an API key and documented public-display permission from the provider and relevant exchanges. An individual free plan is not assumed to permit public display. No paid plan has been purchased.

Configured to request up to 5,000 daily observations per instrument, split-adjusted, not dividend-adjusted. Only completed prior sessions are displayed. No real-time or intraday claim. Six configured instruments use six requests per scheduled run, with at most one retry per request; verify your account credit allowance before enabling. CSV redistribution is disabled.

Automatic retrieval: weekdays at 07:00 America/New_York; stale after 96 hours or a failed import. Public-display requirements ↗ · Provider terms ↗

Public health & outbreak reports

WHO COVID-19 weekly statistical release

WHO supplies weekly new and cumulative cases and deaths, primarily laboratory-confirmed, with national differences. This dashboard keeps countries separate. Missing observations remain missing; negative values are corrections. We do not derive new cases from cumulative totals or calculate population rates without a compatible denominator. A carried cumulative count is not proof that reporting continues.

Automatic retrieval: Thursday 18:30 UTC. Weekly source publication; reporting can lag or stop by country. Stale after 240 hours or a failed import. Observation dates describe reporting weeks; individual observation publication times are not supplied and remain unknown.

WHO Disease Outbreak News

Official notices are checked every six hours and displayed as attributed titles, dates and original links. No article bodies are republished. Reports are separate from measured statistics. Publication cadence is event-driven. A recent retrieval does not mean a recent outbreak report exists.

Plague (Yersinia pestis) is a reports-only option. The verified Madagascar report was published 1 October 2021 and describes events in August–September 2021. It is explicitly historical. Probable, suspected and confirmed counts in reports are not merged into a daily chart.

Other primary sources reviewed

BNR's official RON reference XML was verified; ECB was selected for consistent historical cross rates and documented reuse. BNR rates use currency-specific multipliers, which an additional adapter must respect.

ECDC Surveillance Atlas and Romania INSP statistics are useful primary sources for future datasets. Their disease-specific definitions, publication formats and reuse terms need dataset-level review before automated ingestion. They are not represented as connected live feeds.

Refreshes, revisions & privacy

Charts read the server's stored snapshots. Visible browser tabs check them every five minutes; hidden tabs pause polling. Provider requests have timeouts, bounded retries, fixed endpoints and overlap locks. A failed download or invalid snapshot preserves the last successful data and marks it stale.

Changed observations increment a revision number and preserve their previous values in an audit table. Unexpected removal of history stops the import for review. Data tables and permitted CSV exports expose observation dates, retrieval dates and revisions. Unknown publication times are not replaced by retrieval timestamps.

Watchlists and appearance preferences are saved only in this browser. No registration, advertising trackers or provider API keys are sent to the browser. The optional investment simulator is not included in v1; displayed percentage changes are price changes, not total investment returns.
